SBS’s Film Vault. Plaza Films
This is the second in a series of promotions for SBS film. Directed by Helen Clemens Produced at Plaza Films for US Sydney.
Part of me loves this series of promotions for SBS Film, and part of me can’t help but think it could have been much more. On one hand it is cleverly conceived, ambitious, eye catching and expertly boarded. On the other hand, well, its execution feels rushed. To be honest this was probably the case. Its hard to piece together a clear picture of who worked on the spots, but I would hazard a guess that the crew was pretty small. The lead 3D artist was Pete Commins, (which would explain the lovely backgrounds) but unfortunately he is the only artist credited.

Yeh I was quite disappointed when I saw this, It really needed some proper love put into the character modelling for it to work. It also felt far too dark and evil for something to promote the channel I feel.
But as you say, the boards where obviously well conceived and the background art is really nice.
Hey give us a break. we were doing a shot every day and a half
